How do you play True or False?

Every card brings a player and a direct question about them: "Does Mbappe currently play for Real Madrid?", "Is Haaland at least 24 years old?", "Does Foden play in the Premier League?". Swipe the card RIGHT for true, LEFT for false - or tap the buttons below, same move. The deck is shared and in the same order, but nobody waits - each of you goes at your own pace. A wrong answer costs a point.

Every question and clue is generated from real records in the Derby Duel database. Real match results, squads and season statistics collected from the leagues and cups of 6 countries - no value is estimated, and nothing that is not in the source turns up in the game.

Tips for True or False

  • A wrong answer costs a point. Speed matters, but swiping at random gives back what your correct answers earned.
  • The deck comes in the same order for both of you, but nobody waits for anybody. Lingering on a hard card eats the time you would spend on easier ones behind it.
  • Questions are about current club, age and league. A question that says "currently" asks about today's squad, not the player's past.

No. The game runs in your browser; there are Android and iOS apps too if you prefer. Your account is the same on both.

Who is my opponent?

A player close to your rating. Matchmaking happens on the server and the server also referees the match: both sides see the same board and the same clock.

Which languages are supported?

31 languages, including English, Turkish, German, Spanish, French, Russian, Japanese, Korean and Chinese. You can switch language any time in settings.
